Clover
Clover is a valuable addition to pastures when mixed into grasslands. It is a good source of protein for grazing livestock and fixes nitrogen, reducing the need for nitrogen-based fertilisers.
Legume Technology inoculants are specially formulated using high-quality Rhizobium strains, free from contaminants. The inoculants contain dormant, symbiotic bacteria that encourage the formation of nitrogen-fixing root nodules, which promote healthy clover plants and increased yield. We offer inoculants for clover in peat and liquid form and in various pack sizes to suit grower requirements.
Because farmers often plan for their pasture to be in place for a minimum of five years, the cost of adding an inoculant into that plan is minimal, but the benefits are significant. As well as increasing clover yield, inoculants provide an extremely cost-effective alternative to nitrogen-based fertilisers.
